Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Yep, and the feds are the ones running the show from their planet 25 trillion lightyears away.

Seems 'unidentified' is the key word here. If aliens were more technologically advanced than we are, it would seem they would know how to avoid an obstacle course!

Maybe they were drunk and driving a space-oil-tanker.

That's not too obscure a reference anymore, is it?

That's an interesting take on the lights, cartooncat.

Say, how does one have fireworks without ballistics?

I reckon something the size and weight of a cow would do it," Dale Vince of energy firm Ecotricity told BBC Radio 4's Today programme. "If there is a rational explanation – we will come up with it."

Sure, flying cows at 290 ft. altitude seems like a much more rational explanation.

Why do these things always seem to happen over some English countryside? Perhaps they had a craving for fish & chips???

"One woman said she saw an object fly towards the wind farm, while others described the lights as being linked by "tentacles", leading locals to dub it the octopus UFO." I quote the Telegraph.

The tentacles and balls of light could be a static electricity discharge when the airplane hit the wind turbine blade. The light would be as bright as lightening and would burn a temporary image on the retina of the eye, making the airplane look like it was flying with tentacles.

The Alien story is better, it's what people want to believe. "The truth is out there."

Where is this 'plane' if that's what it was. Surely, it must have suffered some damage? Check all the local airports for one with a blade in its hull. Interesting event. I hope they get to the bottom of it. The UK just released all its UFO files and they are available on the gov website for a month.
