Israel Will Attack Iran After U.S. Election But Before Inauguration, Arab States Will Be 'Delighted', says John Bolton

Read ArticleArticle Source: Think Progress
advertisement

This morning on Fox News, former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton continued his drumbeat for war against Iran. Adopting Bill Kristol's argument, Bolton suggested that an attack on Iran depends on who Americans elect as the next President.

Bolton then concluded that Arab states would be excited if the U.S. or Israel attacked Iran:

"I don't think you'd hear the Arab states say this publicly, but they would be delighted if the United States or Israel destroyed the Iranian nuclear weapons capability."

Bolton has said he is backing John McCain because he would handle the Iranian nuclear program in a "stronger" way than the Bush administration.

And so with this bloody imperial statement, Bolton, the Nazi confirms what he said earlier, that the loose cannon, McCain, is much more of a fasicst thug, Mr. BOMB, BOMB,BOMB, BOMBA IRAN, and can be trusted to ape Herr Hitler's corporate and imperial fascism, with the help of course from the same 'BANALITY OF EVIL", as Hannah Arendt desscribed of Hitler's fascism, namely the servile, parochail, narrow bigoted, cheap warmongering, appeasing class thugs, and class appeasers, the backbone of imperial plutocracy, the deformed servile middle classes, fearful of losinig their privileges as middle class positions, who might just as easily slide into slavery, if their naked brutality for its class masters are not sufficiently barbaric.

The AEIA U.N. chief Elbaradei, whoi said the U.S. had no proof of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction, of course dismissed by all Western class elites, warned Israel and American imperial thugs, that should they attack Iran illegaly with the same lies, the same provocations, and the same corrupt alliances of the "bought off", not the willing, he would resign in disgust over the way the U.N. and its charter are ripped apart, and its article 51, which states unequivocally, that aggression is the highest crime against the world, and like the many servile Nazi potentates, servile asses, there is already a conspiracy of Western class and imperial states, Nazi states, including Israel, who have agreed to repeat the war crime against Iraq, this time against Iran, through the usual divide and conquer strategies, pitting Sunnis against @!$%#es, so that the former colonial, and aparthed, imperial corporate states, can repeat Hitlers fascist Nationalism.

Say Sieg Heil to this whispering, conspiratorial secret alliances of "poodles", much like Blair of Enlgand, now replaced by the poodles of Brown the Labor party, Merkel the Christian German party, Sarkozy, the right wing thug, typical of the whole history of democratic appeasers, like Obama who has already told AIPAC, that he is their willing tool, of imperial fascism. With friends like these, who needs Nazis??? The repeat of class pathologies, class contradictions, class nationalism, imperial alliances, what Bill Harrison described in glowing terms, the pecking order of imperial thieves in the den, proud to be (class) appeasers, imperial killers, are following in Hitler's steps, minus the Nazi flag, but with all the same basic elements of Barbaric class regimes, getting ready of an imperial bloodbath.

I salute Elbaradei, for what he did in Iraq, proven correct over the Nazi warmongers, and the best he can do is to resign from the rot of an Imperial U.N. taken over by Western Nazis. The U.N. will collapse from this fundamental failure to enforce universal standards, because it is made up of class regimes reproducing the same class hierarchies within the U.N. thtan can reconstruct the same class alliances of Fascism. We need more Elbaradei's to reject the corrupt middle class professional in the service of Lunatics, and we need more Daniel Ellsbergs, more Sibel Edmonds, more resisters against this class rot, and expose these criminals and their system as the system of Herr Hitler, and his financial backers, Corporate companies, and redneck know nothings, which took 25 million deaths to defeat. How many billions must die at the hands of these Class thugs, Western or theocratic opportunists, so that they can control the Middle East.

We need to take on this global fascism, corporate fascism, if we are to survive as a human species, by formin our own alliances, working and middle class alliances that are not divided, fearful and servile, and extend these social relations into critical mass, through international dominance, until the class mechanism is broked as a global system, since Patriarchy, dismantling all of its old and new class hierarachies, until the oigarchies, have no middle class blood suckers to suck on, willing to do their bidding. People of the world unite against these monsters, these class elites, class appeasers, imperialists, and save yourself. History and Mother Nature are waiting to end the bloody rule of class history, since Patriarchy. We must this time not let the liberal appeasers fool us into thinking they are real alternatives. They are only the other bloody hand, enablers in this nuclear conflagration stoked by Western Nazis.

Yep.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-CA) saying Bolton "needs anger management," Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes (D-MD) saying Bolton "has a reputation for being abusive," and Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (D-DE) comparing sending Bolton to the United Nations to "sending a bull into a china shop."

So your biggest complaint about Bolton is that he's "abusive and needs anger management"?

That's a pretty childish attack and says nothing about his positions or the fact that he's fighting for the defensive of our democracy against really dangerous, violent, terrorist regimes and groups. It seems liberals are more concerned about their hurt feelings than real politics that could affect the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

Have you seen the videos I posted above and heard what these people have to say about us? Do you support their desire to destroy Israel and America?

Query: it's really pointless attempting to convince these people otherwise. They think the world is a wonderful place, and we don't have enemies. If only we'd all sit and a circle and hold hands and sing Kum Ba Yah, it'll all be sweetness and light. We don't have any reason to fear these people, no, instead, we're the bad guys. It doesn't matter what they do, the nightmarish societies they run, where girls are slow-hanged from tank barrels for infractions of shari'a, it's all our fault.

Blame is the argument of the weak. It is the stick with which the loser beats the winner. And to make matters worse, when these monsters accuse of of this and that, these weak-kneed self-hating jackasses not only take them seriously but believe them. It doesn't matter who it is or what preposterous lies they tell, we must give them all a hearing.

Iran is a country of citizens, not terrorist regimes.

I happen to know many Iran-Americans who have family there. (I live near Dearborn Michigan).

The Iranian people are just like American people. They are decent, kind, and hard-working. They love their children, just like us.

They have a president who is a lunatic who doesn't speak for them, just like us.

If you are talking about the Iranian people, you are incorrect.

If you are talking about people perhaps in Iraq where we are occupiers or some people in Afghanistan where we are killing farmers, you may be right.

If there are people who hate us, BP, the remedy is to figure out why. Not just drop bombs on them.

Until you have some conception of these things, do have the good sense to let those of us who lived in the reality of soldiering tell you a thing or three about these little gaps in your Reality Based World.

The problem is, those doing the soldiering and the telling and the "deciding" for the past 5 years have been dead wrong. Those, like nearing, who have been advocating diplomacy have been correct. Now, it's much more fun to play the tough guy - easier too; we're good, they're bad, and if we kill them all God will bless this nation. But the reality of it is that our actions have an impact on the world, both good and bad. We can either choose to try to understand things or simply close our eyes and continue to throw bombs, with the same results.

Yes, there are good guys, and bad guys. But it's not as simple as you, or Bolton, or King George would have us believe. And certainly not simple enough to believe, or trust them AGAIN!!

Bolton is hated on NV for being right wing when so many Viners are from the touchy feely everyone is nice deep down dream world, but he does speak a lot of sense and calls it straight.

Iran getting the bomb is to be avoided by whatever minimum steps are required to achieve that. That is just common sense.

Nah, there isn't one person in the White House who's seen warfare unless you count the Marines who guiard the doors. That's the problem in a nutshell: only those who saw the face of ware can see the matter correctly, and only rah-rah jimcrack liars would send our boys and girls to war for some pre-emptive prescriptive war in Iraq.

As for hanging girls from tank barrels, that is done in Iran. Not Iraq. That's a fact. The velayat e-faqih does such things, and they're doing them new. There's a massive crackdown on the freedom of women in Iran.

Blaise @ 1.21:

Though I have little doubt Kristol and Bolton brandish the fulgent saber echoing the thinking in "The Iron Chancellor, New Rock of Chickamauga" Dick Cheney's office suite, the message is more oblique than direct.

First and foremost for Mr. Bush and Doc Rice at this moment is driving the ambivalent herd of China, Russia, France and Germany to agreement on UN Sanctions of a more stringent economic nature producing leverage necessary to corner the Iranian leadership into facing real opportunity costs of defiance.

The recent revelations of a 100 plane IAF exercise practicing the 900 mile hop to Iran provides the "legend" necessary to sustain the threats posted by Kristof and Bolton. Mr. Kristof takes it a bit further by claiming Bush could act alone or in concert with Israel if Obama is elected when, in fact, the true context is Mr. Bush going it alone due to the lack of meaningful sanctions by the Security 5+Germany.

I'm thinking the French are on board for a toughened sanctions regime, since French energy giant Total won a contract from the Iraqi Government last week. As French relations with Saddam have evidenced, nothing ensures French compliance like a business contract.

True indeed. And, The Iranian People Are Speaking Out!!!

Anti-regime demonstrations have rocked the holy city of Mashad in Iran in conjunction with a visit by Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadi-nejad. The crowds have been estimated at 8,000 to 10,000. Use of tear gas can be seen and gunfire heard. The regime has barred journalists from the city. Perhaps one of Newsvine's Farsi speakers can translate the voiceover.

I have been paying close attention to what Bolton has been up to in the last 5 or 6 years. He is hot-head who yells at his staff and has burned all bridges he's ever walked over. (the only people who 'like' him are the PNAC signatories whose bidding he does).

His nomination to and appointment as the US Ambassador to the United States was a joke that only the wonks in DC and probably the rest of the world got. (the citizens of the US surely didn't)

Here is what he had to say about the UN BEFORE he was nominated to be our Ambassador there:

"The Secretariat building in New York has 38 stories," Bolton said. "If it lost ten stories, it wouldn't make a bit of difference."

    and this:

The point that I want to leave with you in this very brief presentation is where I started, is that there is no United Nations. There is an international community that occasionally can be led by the only real power left in the world, and that's the United States, when it suits our interest, and when we can get others to go along. And I think it would be a real mistake to count on the United Nations as if it is some disembodied entity out there that can function on its own.

Some of the Arab states would indeed be delighted. They live in the area...and they understand what's going on: Gulf states seek Israeli 'umbrella' vs Iran's Belligerency

''Persian Gulf nations believe Israel will strike at Iran's nuclear facilities rather than allow Teheran to develop nuclear weapons capabilities, Reuters quoted a senior Kuwaiti adviser as saying Tuesday.

"Alfaraj, who acts as adviser to both the GCC secretary general and Kuwait's prime minister, foreign ministry and National Security Bureau, said a nuclear Iran would drag nations from far beyond the Persian Gulf into an arms race.

"He added that countries who could not build their own nuclear weapons would seek a "nuclear umbrella" - even if they had to appeal to Israel.

"I believe in something on the same Iraqi [Osirak reactor] model... We are assuming in the Gulf that Israel will take it out," Alfaraj told Reuters.

Why do the Middle eastern countries hate the United States? That's easy....it's our continued support of Israel. If we were to discontinue our support of Israel.....much of that hated would cease. And why do we support Israel anyway? What has Israel ever done for the U.S.?....NOTHING. But because we continue to support them...the hatred grows.

Once we stop supporting Israel, our image in the Middle east will improve. Our relations with "all" the nations of the Arab world are more important than relations with "one" nation...Israel.

It's time to stop supporting Israel!

actually... technically... it's not our continued support.

It's that we used our power to give Israel it's land... in 1922.

From 1516 until then it was part of the Ottoman Empire.

The fact that we have continued our support of the country that didn't exist until then only has grown the hatred.

They see it, and rightfully so, as the US sticking it's nose into, what they consider, their business.

The way I see it... that's like taking New England away from America and giving it, as a sovereign nation, to the Indians who lived there before the Pilgrims settled there.

Brinkmanship-the technique or practice of maneuvering a dangerous situation to the limits of tolerance or safety in order to secure the greatest advantage.

Kruschev, 1956 - "Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you".

John Kennedy - October 22, 1962: Kennedy addresses the American public and announces his resolve to implement naval blockade. U.S. military alert is set at DEFCON 3 and Castro mobilizes all of Cuba's military forces. October 24, 1962:JFK concludes that if we invade in the next ten days, the missile base crews in Cuba will likely fire at least some of the missiles at US targets. He asks whether we could evacuate civilian populations from cities a few days before the invasion. Response is that cities actually provide the best protection against radiation.

President Ronald Reagan, Date I have forgotten: "My fellow Americans, I've just signed legislation outlawing Russia forever. We begin bombing in five minutes."

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: called for the dissolution of the state of Israel and its government.

      John Bolton: Brinkmanship??

It could be Exxon Mobil?? (sad joke... maybe?)

He said what has already been hinted at, several times. It's who he said that to, that is important. We think he was talking to us, but he may have intended for the Iranian people to hear and thereby put pressure on their government. It is not a lot different than Ahmadinejad's comments about Israel. In my opinion, those comments were directed at us, as much as Israel. Sort of a "hey, you need to be paying attention to me."

If January comes and nothing has happened, then Bolton loses credibility, not the administration.

That is another flaw with Bush. When he talked about the "Axis of Evil", he forgot that someone else may be listening, besides the American people. He used demagoguery, when he should have been using diplomatic speak. Who knows, we may not be having this discussion if he had. That could be what this is all about. It's just my opinion, and at some point and time, you may have your bluff called.

The poison and lies spread by Islamic clergy for decades about Israel and the US is very dangerous, and can lead only to disaster. If Americans don't recognize that the terror in our world comes from these people's fervent beliefs in spreading Islam, and the word of Allah, we are going to be in more trouble than we may be able to get out of without a really big ground war fought in many places at the same time.

Islam is a religion...a belief system...so of course it can't spread...much of anything on its own! However, many extremist Islamist clerics (as well as much of the media in the Arab world) do indeed spread bigotry and hatred. (And, it should be noted...these people do not represent the views of the vast majority of the world's Muslims).

        Vance Wilder,

The Shiite clerics have revised their sect of Islam to represent and interpret the Koran according to their 'scholarly' understandings. Krishna is right, in this particular sect, their clerics (called ayatollahs) are pushing to make Shiite the dominant religious (and political) sect of Islam, and they mean to do this through whatever way is at their disposal. Currently, that means attacking Sunnis and moderate Arabs. This is bared out in the religious upheavals occurring in Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, and Palestine. And feeble attempts were made in Saudi Arabia and Jordan, mostly Sunni with some radical elements of their own.

In 1979, the Ayatollah Khomeini created the first Islamic Republic whose political leaders were all Shiia clerics, and they run the government according to Islamic laws as evolved from their interpretations the Koran. We had something like this when Catholics ran Europe for centuries, history best describes the racism, chaos, and wars of a mismanaged Europe, and finally the Holocaust. This ayatollah (now gone, but his cabal remains like a board of religious/political directors) is considered Allah's representative on earth.

Sunni Saddam Hussein, understanding the blood letting convictions (and obviously oblivious to his own) of the Shiites, went to war with Iran and that lasted for seven years, managing to use up a lot of Iranian resources and hold back the desire to spread their religious theocracy from Iraq, so long as Saddam was running the country. We basically attacked the wrong country, making it easy for Iran to arm and empower the Shiite population in Iraq to begin its Shiite conquest and religious unification with Iran, similar, again, to the Catholic Church's unification of Europe.

The 911 attacks were committed by radical elements of Saudi Arabia called Wahhabi, even though a sect of Sunni Islam, it has no place among the Islamic moderate world currently under attack. These Wahhabi are the founders of Al-Quaida and even though find support from Iran, at one point would be considered enemies because they are not Shiites, but that would be in a future to come.

When comparing the USA and Bush to the Shiite Iran, they are smarter, they are supplying insurgent groups with money, arms, and training to go out and cause chaos. We may be doing that on a larger open scale with an invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, and we did it under a veil of lies in regards to Iraq. But, we did not do this because Born Again Christians were encouraged to go to war by Rev. Hagee, to hurry the second coming.

I watch Hagee occasionally, and he says some very hatefull things about all kinds of people. He is influential because he has a large following and a rich ministry. But, he cannot create the kind of havoc in the United States because of who we are as Americans. An ayatollah cleric of Iran can, because of who he is, and the following of Shiites are so religiously motivated, that their zealousness commits them to the kinds of violence that Hagee's banter cannot possible provoke.

While I agree with much of your analysis, this sounds a bit peculiar to me because of Iran's close ties to Syria, a predominantly Sunni nation. If Iran is motivated primarily by its desire to Shiite-ify the Middle East, why would it maintain such close ties with Syria?

I think that Iran is more concerned with becoming the economic and political power of the region. This cannot be accomplished through by attacking Sunnis and moderate Arabs. It can be accomplished, however, by pointing to the inequalities of standing governments and helping fringe groups in two ways: 1. by funding their uprisings against local governments, and 2. by funding humanitarian efforts to make the citizen's lives better.

That is how Hamas gained power in Palestine and Hezbollah in Lebanaon. That is the game plan, not brute force.

I disagree to a certain extent. Syria and Iran have been shunned by the West due to their support of groups like Hamas and Hezbollah. Iran exists as it is constituted today as a result of the West propping up a dictator in Iran for years. That caused the revolution.

Iran is making a case in the region to those who are poor and desperate. They say, fight the tyrany of your leaders and we will help you free yourselves while providing you with humanitarian support as well. It is a package deal. You fight the unjust dictators and we will help you with weapons and food and medicine, not to mention schools and doctors.

I don't claim to be an expert, but that is my understanding of why Iran acts the way it does towards rebellious elements in other nations within the region. I think it has less to do with religion than it has to do with defeating leaders Iran determines to be dictators.

Religion is a front for their end goal, which is more control and more power. What country wouldn't want to double the size of oil rich lands. Religion has always been an easy agenda to push to rally people to arms.

I don't know what is motivating Iran right now other than it is trying to assert itself as the regional power broker. Iran may be hoping that Israel attacks, I don't know, but I think that if Israel does attack we could see 1967 all over again but with a much bigger threat in Iran.

Actually, Ahmadinejad is motivated by his fanatical religious beliefs to a greater degree than you may realize. Here's a short video clip that explains a lot about his real motivations (U.K. channel 4 News Analysis...preceded by a very brief commercial). Link to Video

I think Bolton's comment is interesting because it is not clear why he believes the local nations would gladly watch as the Israelis bombed Iran. On the one hand it seems as though he is implying that the local nations would welcome it because it would remove a threat from the region. On the other hand, one could envision a scenario where the local powers are happy Israel bombed Iran because that would create the potential for a joint attack on Israel, a la 1967.

I don't know if the region would choose to react that way, given their lack of a response after Israel bombed Syria, but it is interesting to discuss. It is incredible to me that the only country in the world that gets to blatantly invade sovereign lands without having to answer to the international community is Israel.

When Russia bombs Georgia they get, at the very least, a verbal lashing from the UN. When the US goes to war it goes to the UN first (usually, even if it doesn't listen to what the UN dictates). I suppose there have been exceptions, like the US attack on Suddan in the 90's but typically the international community is either made aware via the UN or notified via back channels. When it comes to Israel they are given a free pass to bomb anyone they want, be it Gaza, Lebananon, Syria or now Iran. Why is that?

What do you mean by "the International community?" If you are referring to the U.N. -- more often than not countries are given a "free pass"...for the simple reason that any one permanent member of the Security Council can veto any resolution. So-- what usually happens is that the U.S. (and often Britain) vetoes any resolution condeming a pro-western country-- while China and/or Russia vetoes any resolution condeming one of their friends. And France...well, they act like the French!

So-- in order to condemn any country-- the U.S. and China and Russia have to agree-- and of course they hardly ever do. Any one sided resolution condemning Israel-- or an Arab country-- will get vetoed by at least one friendly nation. Countries on either side of a controversy put forth very biased resolutions-- and they get vetoed by the other side. Sometimes they compromise and find a resolution that is so watered down that they all agree to pass it-- but at that point it really doesn't say anything much...

You are mistaken about how the UN operates. There is a General Assembly which can pass resolutions that are non binding, and there is the Security Counsel which is the only body that can pass binding resolutions.

When I refer to the International Community, I am talking about diplomacy. You know how Condi Rice gets on TV and talks about what other countries are doing, that is the international community talking to each other, and when Russia bombed Georgia, there were members of the International community who condemned the acts. Not so when Israel did the same, so I ask, why is that?

The veto system of the Security Counsel, not the entire UN, is an obstruction for sure. But the General Assembly can always pass resolutions condemning certain acts, and there majority rules. Those are non-binding resolutions, because they do not dictate any action on behalf of the member states that are being condemned.

I think the General Assembly should be able to override the veto of any of the permanent members of the Security Counsel. That would be much more fair.

If you are saying that Condi Rice represents the International community? Yes-- some agree with Condi-- and condemn Russia. But-- there are also certainly a lot who condemn the U.S. as well! I think its a generalization-- and one that is not valid-- to say the "international community" condemns Russia-- but doesn't condemn actions of the U.S. and Israel. (The fact is, there is no such things as a monolithic "International Community").

I didn't mean that Condi Rice is herself the international community. I mean that Condi Rice and other Secretary's of State or Foreign Relations officials, such as ambassadors, etc. from all countries constitute the International Community. I don't mean to imply that it speaks as a single unit all the time, but, if you were to take a poll of what these officials say about actions, such as the Russian bombing of Georgia and the Israeli bombing of Syria and a greater percentage of that international community would be quicker to condemn Russia than Israel.

You are free to disagree with this analysis, but that is my opinion.

So, if that is the case, why?

The THREE reasons Ol' Gutless took us into Desert ScamII was 1) to ensure his re-election, 2) because israel ordered us to in order to stop THEIR suicide bombings and threat of invasion, and 3) to guarantee the oil companies (Ol' Gutless' string pullers) the second largest oil fields AND the HIGHEST American PRICES FOR GAS in history. Don't ever worry about a war with Iran or N. Korea. Ol' Gutless (or ANY repube president for that matter) will NEVER have the balls to take on Iran or ANY country that REALLY HAS WMD's and /or can half way defend itself. Look at it this way, if the repubes were REALLY TOUGH like they have ALWAYS BRAGGED, then the GOD of all repubes and the TOUGHEST president we ever had (according to the repubes) Uncle Ronnie would have had the TESTICULAR FORTITUDE to take on the country which took our people HOSTAGE and TORTURED them for over a year...but HE DIDN'T! No instead, he used his pathetic sidekick (bush senior) with the assistance of "our friend in the Middle East"...israel to CONSPIRE and WILLFULLY SELL over 3500 assorted US missiles to OUR ENEMY in the Middle East...IRAN! Funny, you'll NEVER hear the big, tough repubes bring this topic up...EVER! That's because the repubes are COWARDS that will ONLY take on BIG TOUGH countries like ummm PANAMA lol!!! or what was that RESORT ISLAND the big bad US military under Uncle Braindead took over??? Perhaps after winning WW1 and WW2, then the debacle in Korea and later the long drawn out farce in Viet Nam, we had plenty of ideas for Hollywood blockbusters and ran out desire to continue cranking up the killing machine we call the US Army. Now, were are only on police actions, making the world safer for democracy, with a Republican form of government where the rich make all the decisions, and the democrats pay for them.

The good news is-- the resistance to Iran's brutal totalitarian regime grows daily-- and they are getting better organized:

Last year at least 60 000 gathered in a place near Paris. In that meeting their leader criticized appeasement and demanded a realistic view over Tehran's weakening position and a decisive policy against it. This year Practically all Iranian have been confronted with a huge mobilization by this opposition (including myself! ) . We shall look to see the meetings impact...

For all appeasers a few realistic and irrefutable points and fact:
1-We cannot ignore facts. Otherwise they will turn against us. This is the natural law of evolution.
2-The harsh facts (for appeasers and supporters of Tyranny ) are as follow :
-The Iranian people are sick and tired of suppression and medieval punishments, gross corruption and hangings… -In the past month only 1204 demonstrations and protests against the mullahs has been going on! And plz do not gurgle the Mullahs' rhetoric that these demonstrations are organized by external powers ( I suppose the US ! and Israel ! lol) -As depicted in all slogans people want a change of regime they seek democratic change! -The slogans are "death to Tyranny" , "government of corruption time to leave", " we are men and women of struggle , fight and we shall fight back"… these slogans are being repeated in most student demonstrations and are being picked up by others.
-Do not mix Iranian great civilization with the Tyranny in power in Tehran. This will only ridicule the seriousness of the issue and mock the on going pain and suffering of the Iranian people. By bringing the discussion of the great Persian civilization" in discussions you are only making it clear for us that the Iranian people and their civilization have one enemy which is shared by the whole world. THE IRANIAN PEOPLE ARE not the Tyrants in Tehran. The Mullahs in Iran DO NOT represent the Iranian people! -It is a pretext used by the Iranian Intelligence Ministry to say "any opposition against Tehran is being helped by the foreign power". This is an old tactic used by most intelligence service propagandas to deface any resistance against the rulers…it is a used card and will not affect… -
-For all those who are willing to take a look at events as they really are and who are trying to follow the Iranian peoples feelings on things , I suggest you see the following links :

Well...I suppose if you were gay you wouldn't find it so amusing...

World media is exaggerating the situation in Iran for political reason

But-- I disagree with that -- the world is not exxagerating the situation in Iran...if anything, its ignoring it (but I suppose that many people, unfortunately, would agree with you-- and find Iran's treatment of gays, minorities, and students who resist the government tyranny...as you put it .."amusing").

please krishna don,t tell me that you are so concerned at Irani people in particular, there is a lot more of human suffering in every country - even the most civilized countries in the west are plagued with other things like child abuse and porn

Why all this focus at Iran at this particular time???

Hey-- don't blame me-- I didn''t seed this article-- Nearing did! (Maybe you should ask her why she chose to highlight issues re; Iran). But-- if you read the news, you will see that Iran is in the news a lot lately...I guess a lot of people besides Nearing consider these issues newsworthy...?

"As the poets have mournfully sung
            Death takes the innocent young.
            The rolling-in-money, the screamingly funny
and those who are very well hung."

            W H Auden

Gay people might appreciate the type of being hung Mr. Auden was referring to but I very much doubt they appreciate the kind that Fada seems to find so amusing.

The amusing is the ''using'' of anything possible to involve Iran in all world demo and terror and disasters

And because I respect their rights , should I admire an extravagant show done by few of them? Does the depiction of cruel hanging in a public place has anything to do with their rights to be gays?

              No, I think not.

(But I think Fada didn't find the hanging amusing but the fact that krishna uses that video as an example of what the Iranian people are like.)

              Fada?

Yes-- after they have been murdered-- their right to practice the gay lifestyle is severely limited...

Perhaps you can't relate to their plight because you aren't gay-- your lack of understanding for others is a bit shocking-- but I've seen it before.

But..what about Iran's treatment of women? Do you also find that "amusing?"

I imagine that you might find this (scroll down) to be a big chuckle? A LOL for you, perhaps Fada? Or-- do you start to take these things a tad more seriously when they are about a group you identify with? Perhaps a little less mirth for you with that last link? (Be sure to scroll down to the pictures-- you might find them amusing as well...?)

I don't need to watch your videos. The Iranian people are not what you make them out to be.

Even if your description of them were true, that is no reason for us to be talking about bombing them.

They know that it,s a time for propaganda to legitimize war against another civilian group after Iraq was destroyed by the same kind of lies

Once upon a time before 2003 my Iraqi colleague in medical career was furious over the media lies about Iraq , no one believed him---and here we are ...again.

The pagan muslims in those videos links, just like pagans killing and sacrificing there own people in the name of a false god. That's why when the people in islam get an education and money they leave their pagan land and come to America. OK American muslim women, why did you come here? to uncover your bodies, not to be slaves to your own husbands and take on the christian practices of America. OKKKKKKKKKKKKK. IN the old testament GOD said they worshipped Baal (bombs) causing their children to pass through the fire (fire bombs) the marring of nine year old (pagan temple sex).

                Pagan = a non-christian.
